My printer is broken, so I had to whip out the crayons to prepare for singing time. If you can recognize a flower, bird
and bee, then I did my job! No, I do not know what kind of bird that is...
I first asked the children to tell me what they love about the world. They gave all sorts of cute answers: nature, family, food, technology, shelter, etc. I told them to think about those things while they sang. I then showed them the first line:
"I think the world is glorious and lovely as can be"
I then asked for volunteers to stick their cute little faces in the pictures for the second line:
"The birds and bees and blossoms bring sweet messages to me."
The last two verses have repetitive words:
"I sing, and sing, and sing, and sing a song of joy and love.
I sing, and sing, and sing, and sing my thanks to God above."
I didn't want them to get bored, so after we completed the song a couple of times, I switched the words.
I changed "I sing" to "I sneeze, and sneeze..." and at the end of the song we all let out a big sneeze: ACHOO!
We also changed "I sing" to "I snore" and let out a big snore at the end. There were a lot of giggles after that!
I ended singing time with my testimony. I told them that if they asked God why the world was wonderful, He would show them. He has shown me and constantly reminds me of why I am so blessed to live in this beautiful place :)
