Back in the Groove
I was feeling sick over the weekend with cold symptoms, but feel like I'm getting over it pretty well. I usually take Mondays off because it's the one night Michael is off work, but I went ahead and ran today because I didn't on Saturday. I went 4 miles at 6.5, but increasing right at the end. I usually like to end pretty much sprinting. A running buddy told me once that sprinting at the end of a long run helps burns a lot more fat. I couldn't find any sources to back this up, but it sounds good to me! When I ran a half marathon before, I was dead tired, but still kicked it as hard as I could when crossing that finish line. It's a good feeling!
Pilates
I didn't have time today while at the gym to do anything other than run, but I'm going to end the night doing Winsor Pilates. I have a special place in my heart for this workout. One winter when I was on my off semester from BYU-Idaho I got a job looking after a 90 -year -old women. She had this Winsor pilates DVD (not that she did them :D ) and I did it every day, five days a week, not thinking it was that legit of a workout. I wasn't dieting or doing any other exercise, but I found that after three months, I was in the best shape of my life. It only takes 20 minutes to do it. It's SO worth it, but I usually don't make time for it! That needs to change! Here's the link to part one, part two pops up also:
It may not seem like much, but it's great!
